Tickets Still Available for the Great Lakes Animal Welfare Conference Oct. 24 & 25

Time is running out to get your ticket for the 2016 Great Lakes Animal Welfare Conference! The region’s best opportunity for animal advocates to learn, share, and network is coming up fast, and you don’t want to miss it! This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Kate Hurley, who will talk about her career in animal welfare, starting as an ACO and then becoming a veterinarian and the world’s first shelter medicine resident. She will also present two sessions on the Million Cat Challenge, which has already saved almost a half million cats! Other speakers include:
● Dr. Shirene Cece, Michigan Humane Society, talking about skin diseases in the shelter
● Phil Seibert, CVT, Safety Vet, providing a session on regulatory compliance as well as a session on risk management
● Rob Leinberger, NACA President, discussing going from compassion fatigue to job satisfaction
● Vicki Deisner, ASPCA, presenting on regional legislation and national trends in animal welfare
In addition to the more than 30 educational sessions, there will be a trade show, great meals (with an improved menu this year!), and opportunities to relax and socialize with fellow animal welfare professionals.
We are quickly on our way to another sellout year, so please buy your ticket today and plan to join us October 24 and 25 at FireKeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan!
